ANNUAL HAM DINNER IN STARKSBORO
Starksboro, Vt.—The annual ham dinner of the Starksboro Village Meeting House Society will be held on Saturday, September 29, starting at 5:00 p.m. at the Robinson Elementary School multi-purpose room on VT Route 116 in Starksboro village. On the menu are ham, mashed potatoes, winter squash, baked beans, cole slaw, rolls, a wide variety of homemade pies, and beverages. All vegetables are grown locally. Tickets for this yearly favorite event, which has been held for at least four decades, are $9.00 for adults and $4.00 for children 12 and under.
Tickets for the Meeting House Restoration Raffle also will be on sale, with the drawing at the end of the dinner. Take a chance on fun prizes, from works by local artisans to gift certificates and other surprises. Tickets are $1.00 each or six for $5.00. Proceeds from the dinner and raffle benefit the Meeting House restoration fund. The next projects are rebuilding and raising the top story of the belfry and finishing restoration of the sanctuary.
